“United States Of America is ready for Vista these days! Hurrayy!”
“How much is it?”
“Oh!, It’s ONLY (damn) $199!”
I’m not sure how much the price today, since I’m still using XP, but yeah, that’s what pretty much happens today in the PC-world. If you eye-shopping through the PCs today, all of them powered by Vista (Home, Professional, Ultimate, Whatever Premium Edition).
Without saying whether it’s bad or good thing, it is an absolute way to penetrate the transition from one thing to another. Mass-sabotage!
Ya-da ya-da ya-da, and I’m starting my rumbles…
I’m not going to talk about gazillions bugs inside vista (which all of us already know, I suppose..), but the marketing wise.
Sony, Toshiba, HP, Dell, Gateway, E-Machine, Sanyo, Spica, Nitendo, Darko, Lombo, Echo, Alpha, omega, nano, … janko, … elvis…, … what else? Cobra? Yeah, I’m talking about all those computer brands (whether it exists or not). They’re still marketing their old products, with medi-core spec.
2 days ago I met my friend, and she had this laptop (which she bought it like 8 months ago). She complained that her Laptop got numerous errors, can’t do this, can’t do that, can’t connect to the internet, whatsoever.
So I looked up, and found out that it’s an awesome Intel Celeron M, with 512 GB, integrated VGA Card, loaded full with Vista Premium and all those junks from AOL and Brand Software. How cool is that?
It took me full 10 minutes to wait from boot-up until all the system fully loaded in startup system. And another minutes to check the system properties, another minutes to access the folders, another minutes to.. die…
And yes, she never used that laptop for like forever because it’s slow.
(“Of course it is.. I’m amazed it still trying to running the program instead of committing suicide… oh Poor Gateway.” as I thought).
I tried to installed 2GB Memory in it, but still snailing; so, I format it from scratch, and re-installing the XP in it, and BOOM.
There are no supported drivers for XP! Hax! — (Pwned!)
However, Google helped me in collecting all usable drivers for this laptop, and bingo, it works flawlessly with XP.

Ridiculous… See how the market tried to injecting Vista to the customer, but don’t care at all with their own products capability? Just because of this simple matter (VISTA!), million customers (who are not having good understanding in tech-world) will blame them, and say “Your laptop is unbelievable slow! FIX IT!”
Unless they will charge $100 for the “service” to “make” it “faster”, I can’t see anything good comes from Vista.
This is the only idiot-side of Microsoft and PC-Companies in marketing their products. We are not ready for Vista yet, since the PC that required for Vista is still around (generally) $800 and up.
That’s a pretty standard price, I know. But there are a lot of people who really look for, say $400 – $600 laptop, because we, people mostly were thinking like this before:
“Ah, I don’t need a super duper fast computer, I only use it for coding and wording..”
But today, we should know that:
“Ah, Bill Gates despises Intel Celeron today.. ”
*shrug*
I only hate it because they were always stop and blacklisting previous edition (XP) when the newer edition (Vista) came out. That sounds too… heartless.

Micro$oft is smart when it comes to green things, stupid when it comes to technology, or maybe they play stupid to earn money which is smart? Anyway.. not only in the PC world, even with videogame consoles.. anyone here caught by the 360’s RROD? *raises both hands* me.. ME!!
My laptop (Vista installed) has the awesomeist error ever ^^ how could I explain..? It still doesn’t have a name in the dictionaries you see, so try to understand..:
I’m using about 80GB of the built-in 120GB harddisk so it should have 40GB freespace, but no.. when I first start the system I see this 40GB, after a while I open My Computer to see 30GB freespace *more time passes* and wow.. 20GB empty? Not a big problem *continues working on it, and after 2 hours a bubble pops up from the bottom* .. harddisk full?
So what I do now is restart the system than wait a few minutes to see the disk uprise to its peak 40GB, and then suddenly starts decreasing again. Yea, I know.. doesn’t it remind you of the stock market ._.”
ohh, just 233MB left, need to restart.. bye~
Hahaha, I never heard that kind of problem before. Maybe your auto-startup torrent, downloading 40GB files with 100 mbps speed? xD
I used Vista 3 times in all different laptops, and ended up frustrated with its unflexibility. I hope there’s another windows version ahead that is more friendly user, and secure.
Skip Vista to the next level. My wish.
Don’t ever put a single 1% of the blame on the sweet life saver, code-named “torrent”. NEVER EVER XD !!
Just seen this link. You might want to contribute, lol..:

$800 for PC and another $199 for Vista? Heck no..
Damn sure I’ll gladly say, “Ley, it’s about time that you change your religion to apple. Hell yeah, hehehe”
Gak worth it amat sih ley, $1000 untuk sistem yang musti update sana-sini, belum lagi antivirus bla bla bla. Scam banget sih..
Atoo, menyaingi ke-geek-an kita semua, mending pake openSUSE aja lah, masih lebih canggih desktop-nya. Hehehe.
Just throw that microsuck scams out of your PC, ley =)
