I'm not exactly as passionate about street musicians as you guys are, maybe because of personal experience with them.

I do admit they provide entertainment once in a while but most that i see around here have no talent, like even i can pin point notes they play wrong or just skip all together cuz they can't play (the violin) at all. Now i don't blame them, they are just trying to add "value" rather than asking for money but not all are amazing.

And this reminds me of a joke that kept going around while we were studying music in high school.

Wow, Natalie, she's cool xD.
Looks like her blog is very well-managed, and even record herself.

Yes, I admiring the street-musicians in United States who almost all of them are having the same purpose, just to entertained people, where I found that only some people are like that in my country.

I haven't seen Natalie. She looks quite famous through magz and television tho~, hope I can see her live someday.

I think street musicians ad so much to a city. They make the streets come alive, and streets/subway stations don't seem scary/hostile when there is a musician there.
My favorite subway musician in NYC is the 'Saw Lady'. She plays a musical saw mostly at Times Square - did you see her by any chance? She has a blog where she tells what happens when she is playing in the subway: http://www.SawLady.com/blog
She gives a lot of info about the various subway musicians so you might come across a photo of someone you have seen/heard.

Personnally, I think giving a street performer $ brings good luck to the giver :) When you give, you get back 10 fold.
