Hey you…! Happy New Year 2008. Having fun yet? With fireworks, bottles of Vodka, Tobaccos and the beach. One decade is almost over, I wish you have a good future plan already.

To think about the New Year party is actually kind of amused me. People around the world stay awake all night throwing parties, and they usually sleep 12 hours late from their normal sleep time, which make the world feels like stop rotating that night.

Therefore, December 31 and January 1st, I announced it as the Global Jet Lag Day (meh, whatever); but beside that, do you know that New Year’s Eve also called as a Disaster Day?

Not just fireworks, greetings, beers and laughter decorating the street in New Year’s Eve, but also tons of irresponsible teenagers. How many adolescent get drunk over that night?

The miracle of alcohol which also lead them into a retarded driving, fight, sex, crime, drug, and many things else; and resulted as traffic accidents, dead body, pregnancy, jail, OD, and more.

If you see the newspaper or TV channel the day after New Year (if you sober enough from the hangover of course), you will see what I mean about disaster.

These are what I found through google, the incidents in New Year’s Eve 2008:
1. Over 100 people died by traffic accident, Brazil.
2. Car accident and Knife Fight, California.
3. Over 1,100 people died by traffic accident, Beijing - China.

Cool? Those only from 3 places I luckily spotted with google, and we know it happens all over the world, every country, every city. Do you know how many people die (not) in peace on the day that we always thought as the best celebration day every year after Christmas.

Not to say those who died because of stupid fireworks on hand, or being a Jackass with their skateboard whatsoever.

I could probably say about one.. or maybe up to five million people died every year on New Year’s Eve? Hey, I’m just guessing, don’t take it as a fact, but I might be true.

More than that, do you know how many fireworks burned and exploded that night? Smoke and toxic, you are killing the earth! Sometimes it’s better for you to stay at home and just sleep over New Year.

I was watching Heroes Volume 2 (DVD) on my PC when more than a million people died last night.
