Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls (Dollfie)

Dream of Doll
Mostly known as Dollfie. The figures were taken from the eastern manga/anime characters, with ideal anatomy and details in beauty. In United States it’s similar with Barbie Doll, even there’s no way to compare them, since ABJDs are more elegant. This doll is customizable and pose able like the real body, and there are tens of options including wigs, eyes, make up, dresses, and many other accessories. The models that I use in this post are taken from D.O.D (Dream of Doll) Company. Some of other brands are Luts, Dollshe, AngelRegion, Volks, etc.

These dolls were made with the strong sense of eastern culture, especially the costumes. Start from generic fashion, uniform, gothic (Lolita), and also the traditional clothes from Japan and Korea. Not just the beauty and elegant factor that make this doll so popular. The owner is challenged to form the character of their dollfie. With the same model and type, two dolls will look different in the hands of two owners.

Make up, tone of skin color, eyes, hair style (wig), It’s more like caring a baby instead of just playing with toys. The works also crafted in really high detail, which is make it (really) expensive. There are two type in DOD’s, they are D.O.T (adult/teen, around 60cm), and D.O.C (child, around 45cm). They’re cost around $US 300 - 600. Nuff said… And that’s for plain (naked) one. Then we still have to spend more money for the clothes, and everything else xD.

I’m not into doll that much actually. But somehow these products really hooked me up. It’s so beautiful and cool. Maybe I’m just drooling over all of those costumes. They’re so great and beautiful. I wonder if I could order that clothes for my size, and wearing it someday in Cosplay Festival. Oh well =)

Another models from DOD Collection.
