Canaan – Fantastic New Series [Anime]

This anime caught my attention when I was trying to find a new airing anime series after the ends of K-ON and Higashi no Eden. Canaan, the promise land as it mentioned in the Bible. I thought it will be more into archeological classic-modern technology kind of story, but it isn’t heh ^^;

Just now, I finished the 2nd episode, which is the newest one so far. Even though there were some confusions in the first episode, since all the mysteries of each character’s background haven’t revealed yet, the action scenes were totally blew me away. I’ll just write a wrap-up story anyway.

From what I understand so far, this will be the story of an ordinary little girl who turned out to be an assassin (or whatever it will be) — meets with her childhood friend later on that suffers from partial amnesia. Both of them for whatever reason are being targeted by this Dark Organization that is dealing with bio-weapon (deadly virus).

There are however seem to be the 3rd, 4th and 5th parties involved, but it’s still not so clear who are they and which side are they stand on.

The fighting scenes were completely outstanding with great animation and artwork combined. There are 3 girls as the main roles (as in the picture from the front to back): Canaan, Alphard and Maria. Maaya Sakamoto, my fave Seiyuu, plays role as Alphard here :)
